MWSUG Speaker Sharing
The Speaker Sharing Program has been created to serve and assist the MidWest SAS® Users Group (MWSUG) affiliated SAS® Local User Groups (LUGs) in securing quality speakers for the LUG meetings.
The program works as follows: MWSUG will reimburse each LUG up to $600 annually for travel and other related expenses to have speakers make presentations at LUG meetings. MWSUG will also attempt to help the LUG’s decide on appropriate speakers via recommendations, although MWSUG does not maintain a full-fledged speakers bureau.
In order to receive the funds, MWSUG requires the user group provide a final report and supporting documentation to MWSUG after the meeting. The report must include:
- Name, date and location of event
- Attendee list, including attendee name, company, and e-mail address
- Name, company, and e-mail address of funded speaker
- Report showing the impact the event had for LUG development. (i.e., expansion of new attendees, sharing best practices, new speaker development, etc.)
