Gerald D. Frey
Gerald has over 10 years of programming and consulting experience. His projects have ranged from developing systems to offering system support for Legacy applications and new technologies. At Systems Seminar Consultants, Gerald provides consulting services to large corporations and government agencies. He is actively involved in software training through the instruction of the following courses:

Alex Dmitrienko
Alex Dmitrienko, Ph.D., is a clinical statistician at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN. He has more than 10 years of SAS programming experience and been working closely with SAS Institute and SAS Publishing over the past four years on two books in the Books by Users Series. The first book, "Analysis of Clinical Trials: A Practical Guide," will be published in the spring of 2005 and the other book, "Pharmaceutical Statistics," will likely be published in 2006. He has been using SAS Enterprise Guide for three years and recently co-founded the Business Intelligence SAS Users Group (http://www.bisug.org).
Scott Mebust is co-author of the SAS v9 multi-threaded sort and the current maintainer of PROC SORT. Since 1998, under the guidance of Robert Ray, he has worked to improve various BASE SAS procedures with specific attention to performance issues. Scott graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in computer science.
Stephen McDaniel is the Development Manager for SAS Enterprise Guide and the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office in the Business Intelligence Clients Division in SAS R&D based in Cary, NC. Both products are focused on extending the power of SAS to a wide array of users via user environments optimized for their respective needs. Stephen has been a SAS user for more than 15 years and has experience as a statistician, statistical programmer, SAS developer, product manager, manager of business intelligence, and independent consultant.
David Shamlin is a Research & Development Director at SAS Institute Inc. in Cary, NC. David leads the development teams that support core parts of the Base SAS product like the DATA Step, the BASE Engine, and the Sort, Summary and SQL Procedures. David has worked at SAS for eighteen years.
Tonya Etchison Balan works closely with the Analytical Solutions Division to support and promote SAS’ offerings in the areas of statistical data analysis and quality improvement. She has been a SAS user for over 15 years and holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from North Carolina State University. In addition to her experience at SAS, she has extensive consulting experience and has served on the faculty of the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University.
Theresa Lautato - Bilingual in Japanese and English, SAS instructor Theresa Lautato graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor's degree in computer science,. She began teaching SAS software classes at the company's headquarters in Cary in the late 1980s.
Michele Ensor - is an instructor with SAS teaching public, on-site, and live web classes and developing courses. She has been employed as a SAS instructor for over seven years and has been using SAS for over twelve years. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
